Vernique Coleman-Stokes serves as the inaugural Director of the Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs Resources and Education at the University of Dayton. The center delivers science-based risk-reduction prevention education, intervention services, and recovery support. Vernique has over 20 years of dedicated service to the needs of individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. She has a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health and a Master of Science Degree in Gerontology Counseling. She has chemical dependency and counseling licensures as well as certifications for tobacco treatment and prevention education.Vernique strongly advocates for support services for students in recovery.
